Bailey Bridge Construction Strengthens Nepal–China Ties at Rasuwagadhi Border

After the old bridge at the Rasuwagadhi border was damaged by floods, transportation and trade between Nepal and China were severely affected. To restore this vital link, the construction of a new Bailey bridge was initiated a project that holds both economic and diplomatic significance.

According to the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, the construction work is moving ahead rapidly and smoothly. Engineers and workers from both Nepal and China are coordinating closely to ensure timely completion. Once finished, the bridge will reconnect one of the busiest trade routes between the two countries, easing the flow of goods and people.

More than just an infrastructure project, the new Bailey bridge stands as a symbol of strong friendship and cooperation between Nepal and China. It reflects the shared commitment of both nations to rebuild, reconnect, and strengthen their long-standing ties through development and partnership.
